Boots on the Ground – First Meeting | June 29, 2025

📚 Class Notes and PowerPoint Presentation

Welcome to the beginning of something powerful. This is the video recording of the very first Boots on the Ground public meeting, held on June 29, 2025, at The Eagle Wilton Manors. It marks the launch of a movement rooted in resistance, community, education, and love. We are leatherfolk, kinksters, allies, and freedom fighters. We are unapologetically queer. And we are showing up to defend democracy.

In this one-hour session, we lay the groundwork for what’s to come:
🥾 Why Boots on the Ground was founded
📚 What we’re fighting for and how we’ll do it
✊ How you can get involved in the work of building a freer future

We believe that even in the face of rising authoritarianism, we have the power to organize, educate, and win. No authoritarian regime in history has withstood organized opposition from just 3.5% of the population. We’re building that 3.5%—together. Because our rights aren’t a fetish—they’re fundamental.

Our government wasn’t built to be fair—but knowing how it works gives us the power to bend it toward justice. In just one hour, we’ll pull back the curtain on the founders’ original design, trace how it’s morphed into today’s modern system, and uncover the hidden levers of power. This isn’t a dry civics lesson—it’s a crash course in turning knowledge into action. Come ready to laugh, learn, and leave inspired to play smarter, louder, and stronger in the fight for real democracy.
