Cortez Daniel aka K9 ONYX (he/him) based in Newark, NJ, originally from Georgia, is a proud leatherman, kinkster, and community builder. Active in the kink community since 2016, he became a full Brother of ONYX Mid-Atlantic in 2019 and joined the Veterans Leather Alliance in 2024.

Cortez is deeply involved in the ABDL and wolf/pet play communities. He has a long list of hankies he flags but his top five are pits, cigars, watersports, heavy bondage, and muscle worship on both sides. He has taught educational kink classes at events and institutions including Widener University covering topics such as harm reduction, primal play, and ABDL. With hands-on experience in fundraising, he is dedicated to supporting the growth and sustainability of leather and kink spaces.

Passionate about veterans’ rights, diversity, and inclusion, Cortez is committed to ensuring representation for marginalized voices in all LGBTQ+ spaces. His mission is to encourage others to live as their true, authentic selves while continuing to do the work that strengthens and uplifts the community.

“The reason I want to start a BOTG chapter is because I want to do more to stand up against this harmful administration. As a veteran, it pains me to see people’s rights ignored and communities mistreated. I believe that if more groups like this are formed within our community, we can educate and empower others to fight back more effectively. The fight begins long before election day, and I’m ready to help spread BOTG’s mission and take action.”
